Living in the Mountains...

Picture
I love living in the mountains of Colorado. It is a spiritual experience just to be here. I feel grateful to share with couples as we plan a special day. That's because I think the ceremony says so much about you, about your love, about your goals, about your friends and family, and about your spiritual path. I have especially enjoyed performing weddings for a wide variety of couples. Sometimes with part of the ceremony in Spanish, sometimes to honor an alternative live style, sometimes to celebrate in unusual ways. I enjoy them and I pride myself on celebrating with you your way.

A bit More About My Background....

I hold a doctorate degree in ministry earned in 1968 and have served as primary minister for 3 nondenominational churches. I was ordained in 1968. And have enjoyed performing weddings ever since. I have been married for many, many years to Frances Black. We live most of our time in Salida, Colorado and I spend some time in a caboose near Central City, Colorado. Things I have loved to do ---I have enjoyed working on the nations' railroads, serving as a county commissioner,  and hiking in the mountains with my black lab, Gus. (who also answers the phone, sometimes...)

I also write columns every week in The Weekly Register Call, Colorado's oldest newspaper, first published in 1859. Most columns are about Colorado history and its relevance today, and occasional a humorist column written by my dog, Gus. I also write for Colorado Central Magazine, and The Mountain Neighbor, and The Nederland Mountain Ear.
